When I first started out working as a Makeup Artist my first portfolio case was a three ring binder. At the time, I was still working in a small market "in Virginia", so my binder from the local office store seemed to work just find for me. Several years later, when I moved to Los Angeles I realized the three ring binder was not going to work in the big city, so I went to the local arts and crafts store and bought a prefabricated portfolio. At first the portfolio seemed to work out well, but as time went on the pages began to wear. Some of the portfolio pages got scratches and others began to warp. The most frustrating part was that the outside of it was still in good condition, but the interior pages were not removable.
